GET TO KNOW JENNIFER
As Deputy Mayor, I have assumed the responsibilities of Mayor until a new Mayor is elected. I am focused on ensuring good governance and stability at City Hall over the coming months, working with City Council and other orders of government to build more housing, get more transit built, and to keep communities safe.
As your City Councillor for Ward 25: Scarborough - Rouge Park since 2018, I will continue working with residents and the greater community to build a better and more livable city. I also serve as Chair of the Infrastructure and Environment Committee, and in that capacity have been working to advance the City of Toronto ravine strategy and climate action plan. I also sit on the Board for the Green Municipal Fund, which supports municipalities across Canada to adopt sustainable practices.
Before entering local politics, I was a Professional Geoscientist and managed industrial-academic partnerships in the non-profit sector. I also served as the first President of the Scarborough Community Renewal Organization (2016-2018), and as President of the Centennial Community & Recreation Association (2015 to 2017), where I worked with partners to advocate for investment in Scarborough.
I consider it an absolute privilege to represent the City and Scarborough—Rouge Park as both Deputy Mayor and Member of Council.
